Wet conditions didn't stop Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi from going gung ho on the Army Black Knights. Despite a pouring rainstorm, quarterback Ricky Cojuangco passed for 361 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 114 yards and three more majors as the Magi defeated Army, 79-31, at the Sakura Bowl in Mitakihara Town, B.C.

Halfback Dan Roxas ran for 148 yards and a touchdown, halfback Billy Shaw ran for 42 yards and two scores, wide receiver Zac Chabangu caught six passes for 105 yards and a touchdown and wideout Johnny Muntari caught four passes for 97 yards and two scores. Left tackle Michael Aryee led the blockers with 21 pancakes, center Ron Nwankwo added 14 and right guard Robert Havenaar added 11.

This was one of the more quieter performances from the defense, as they didn't force a single turnover all game, which is a rarity. In fact, this may go down as one of the worst defensive performances in the history of Magi football, as there were six players...who tied for the most tackles on the team with six tackles each. Middle linebacker Austin Novak did one better...he had a sack in the victory over the Black Knights.

Mitakihara improve to 8-0 and continue their home stand against the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors.
