It wasn't easy for Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi, but at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, Fla., they got the job done and defeated the Florida Gators, 65-39. Quarterback Ricky Cojuangco only passed for 134 yards but he ran for 331 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Magi, who relied on the run to wear down a very strong Gator defense.

Halfback Dan Roxas was also stellar on the ground for Mitakihara. Roxas ran for 216 yards and four more touchdowns on Saturday, while fullback James Stanley ran for 63 yards. Wide receiver Johnny Muntari led the blockers with 23 pancakes while wideout Jason Saka added 11 more pancakes on the day.

Cornerback Josh Ravensdale and middle linebacker Austin Novak led the defense in tackling with 16 tackles each. Ravensdale addeed two sacks while Novak added a sack and an interception. Cornerback Greg Essien and right outside linebacker Zach N'Diaye had 10 tackles and a pick each, while freshman left end Shintarou Okabe led the pass rush with three sacks.

Mitakihara improve to 2-0 and hit the road against next week to take on the Oklahoma Sooners.
