It was a shootout at the Sakura Bowl in Mitakihara Town, B.C. on Magia Day 2063. However, it was never in doubt, as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi smothered the Stanford Cardinal, 78-35, to secure a spot in the 2064 BCS National Championship Game at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, La.

A clean balance of pass and run helped propel Madoka to their 12th win of the season, and now they will await their opponent, which could be Boston College, UCLA, South Florida or another team. Quarterback Ricky Cojuangco, the offensive captain of the Magi, passed for 285 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 103 yards and another score. Cojuangco is hoping to win his second Heisman Trophy after finishing second two straight times.

Halfback Dan Roxas rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown, halfback Billy Shaw ran for 88 yards and three majors, wide receiver Johnny Muntari caught four passes for 59 yards and a score and wideout Zac Chabangu had three catches for 48 yards and a touchdown. Right guard Robert Havenaar led the blockers on the offensive line with eight pancakes. Defensive tackle Xavier Mpong had 11 tackles and three sacks, while cornerback Drew Clotter had a couple of interceptions.

"The players are hyped up now for the finale in January, and now the real work begins," said Coach Kaname after the game. "Now the practices get more intense, and the passion gets even stronger. If there are any other teams that are unbeaten after this week, we plan to send some scouts to take a look at them and see what they offer to the table against us.

"Everyone is looking forward to the National Championship Game. The quest to defend our Pentagram is now at its climax. Everyone's excited and ready to go."
