Mitakihara relentless in 97-7 win over LSU

With the recruiting class already filled up, Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname could focus on the football for the rest of the season. The Magi responded with a 97-7 victory over the LSU Tigers at the Sakura Bowl in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Quarterback Ricky Cojuangco passed for 266 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 101 yards and another score.

Backup quarterback Rajiv Singh also picked apart the Tiger defense, passing for 152 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 72 yards and two more majors. Halfback Billy Shaw ran for 176 yards, halfback Dan Roxas rushed for 89 yards and four scores and wide receiver Zac Chabangu added seven catches for 162 yards and three touchdowns.

Left tackle Mark Nkrumah led the Magi blockers with 16 pancakes. Right tackle Gary Breckinridge added 13 pancakes, left guard Randall Bancey had 12 and center Marcus Anderson had 11. Left outside linebacker Takuto Itsuka had 10 taackles and a sack to lead the defense. Right end Dakota Okabe paced the pass rush with six tackles and two sacks while cornerback Drew Clottey added a pair of interceptions.

Mitakihara improve to 10-0 and host the Texas Longhorns next.
