Next year, Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname will be on his way to becoming the first-ever head football coach to amass 700 career victories. The old man of college football has the longest win streak, most national titles, most bowl victories, most career victories, most bowl appearances, most games coached, and most years at a school. This season, Coach Kaname added to those totals.

"I guess I could be coaching until I'm 80," Coach Kaname said. "Seriously, I believe that with longevity comes added wisdom and a sense of knowing who you are, what your calling is, what your beliefs are...and those are important things when coaching a team like this.

"The boys are aware that when they put on those colors of the Rose, Pink and White, they gain some sort of invincibility. It gives them strength and confidence to perform and leave their mark on the game. It's just so much fun to watch, whether you're an old coach like me, a fan in the stands, a student, or even a player like the 70 that are on this great team. It's simply amazing."
