Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname will be with Madoka for the long haul. Today, Coach Kaname signed to a new contract worth $8.5 million over the next seven years, which includes the money from his previous contract extension yet to be paid, according to reports from the Daily Magi.

"I don't know of anyone that knows Mitakihara University athletics better that Tatsuya," said athletic director Nagisa Momoe. "He's a great leader, a wonderful person and someone you can have a beer and a ploughman's lunch with. He's really fun to be with and we're glad he's gonna with us for a while longer."

"I love coaching the teams here at Mitakihara because I get a good feeling just being with the players, the staff, the administration, everybody," Coach Kaname said. "I am looking forward to another solid season recruiting the best players from Canada and the United States to have them join the Best College Football Team in All of College Football."

Darrell Hashida, the offensive coordinator at Mitakihara, saw his contract extended by another three seasons. His contract is worth $4.5 million over the three years. There is talk that Buntarou Okabe could be leaving Madoka to coach either USC or Alabama next fall.
