Mitakihara Magi quarterback Haruki Takayama has a younger sister, Yui, who has the same hair color as him and his mother Haruka but the twintails, eyes and daisies as his mother Yuu. Yui is currently a third-year student at Mitakihara Middle School and is scheduled to be enrolled at MiTSS next September. According to Haruki, Yui is the superfan of the Takayama household.

"Oh yeah, Yui is defnitely the superfan of the house," Haruki said after practice at Hakurei Centre. "She always goes out to the games, cheering for the team, watching the boys run up the score at the Bowl...she told me that she wants to be a cheerleader for the Magi when she grows up and she is on the cheer team at the middle school as the captain.

"I often play games of catch with Yui but she prefers to carry the ball. One time, when she was 10, I set up some cones and an obstacle course for Yui to run through while carrying the ball. I handed her the ball, took out a stopwatch and said, 'Go!' Then she went. She has lightning-quick speed. She finished the obstacle course in 45 seconds, but as she went to me, she tripped and fell, hurting her knee for a bit.

"I went over to her, put a bandage on and kissed the spot where it hurt. As soon as I did it, Yui's pupils became shaped like hearts, and she game me a kiss. I was like, 'Okay, okay, you can stop.' But soon, I fell over and she was on top of me, holding my hands. And Yui was like, 'Thank you for being there for me to make me happy, onii-chan,' she whispered, sounding like Mama Yuu. Through her half-lidded eyes, she kissed me some more. I gave up and decided to give in and the two of us kissed, just so that Yui could feel better.

"I ran my hands through Yui's hair as a wind blew cherry blossom petals out direction, and I said, 'You kiss like Mama Yuu, Yui.' She said, 'I know, because she taught me how to kiss. I just wanted to practice.' I said, 'This was practice.' She said with a wink, 'Maybe?' Later on, as we headed home from the part, she told me that she had feelings for me but I told her that as her brother, she needs to develop feelings for someone that she likes at school. She then said, 'Okay, I'll do my best.' I was like, 'Yes, that's the spirit. That's what I want to hear.' True story."

"Since then, Yui has been a superfan of sorts for the football team, going to games, firing the fans up, talking to other alumni and boosters and taking photos with them. She got really well-known and now everyone knows about my sister. I sometimes wonder if it will be all for naught if she commits somewhere else, but I don't think it will happen. I'm attending Madoka now, so everything is pretty much settled. I love Yui. She's a sister that I love as much as my moms."
