Madoka leave it late in 4th quarter to bury Texas, 75-17

A huge 4th quarter in which Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi shut out Akiyuki Kaname's Texas Longhorns 35-0 told the story as the Magi buried Texas, 75-17, at the Sakura Bowl in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Quarterback Haruki Takayama passed for 344 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Magi passing attack. Takayama also ran for 93 yards on 23 carries.

Halfback Bruno Okuno ran for 95 yards and two touchdowns, fullback Mike Gray ran for 77 yards and a score, wide receiver Steve Takakamo caught six passes for 108 yards, wideout George Griffin caught four passes for 72 yards and two majors and wideout Dee Dee Sonoda caught four passes for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Left tackle Jasper Tanaka led the Magi in blocking with nine pancakes, while right guard Bo Aoyama and left guard Sean Scott each had five pancakes. Right outside linebacker Sonny Miyanaga led the Magi in tackling with 10 tackles and a sack. Cornerback Howard Skinner had a pair of interceptions while right end Dakota Okabe returned a fumble five yards for a touchdown.

Mitakihara improve to 8-0 and host the Army Black Knights next week.
