Mitakihara deal with rainstorm in 73-21 win over Florida State

Quarterback Haruki Takayama passed for 214 yards and two touchdowns and halfback Bruno Okuno did the rest as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi rolled past the Florida State Seminoles, 73-21 in the pouring rain at the Sakura Bowl in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Okuno ran for 140 yards and three touchdowns and caught six passes for 56 yards and another score.

Backup quarterback Terry Miyanaga passed for 146 yards and a touchdown, halfback Jansen Onjouji ran for 116 yards and two majors, fullback James Stanley rushed for 56 yards and a score, wide receiver Dee Dee Sonoda caughtr four passes for 71 yards and a touchdown and wide receiver Steve Takakamo caught eight passes for 115 yards.

Left tackle Jasper Tanaka had 17 pancakes while center Arturs Virsaladze added seven pancakes. Right outside linebacker Sonny Miyanaga had nine tackles and a sack while middle linebacker Danny Miyanaga had nine tackles, two sacks and an interception. Defensive tackle Sean Yamashita also had two sacks.

Mitakihara improve to 6-0 and continue their home stand next week against the UCLA Bruins.
