It was a subdued performance, but still the victory Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname wanted as the Magi defeated Texas A&M, 80-31, at the Sakura Bowl in Mitakihara Town, B.C. Quarterback Haruki Takayama passed for 238 yards and two touchdowns but it was the ground game that did most of the heavy lifting for the Magi.

Halfback Bruno Okuno ran for 177 yards and two touchdowns, halfback Gary Gumede ran for 197 yards and five scores (a career best) and fullback Mike Gray ran for 60 yards and another major. Wide receiver Jason Saka caught five passes for 101 yards and tight end Josh Yoshioka caught five passes for 77 yards and a touchdown.

Right tackle Andy Adusei led the blockers with 12 pancakes, while center Ron Nwankwo had eight pancakes and right tackle Gary Breckinridge added seven. Right end Dakota Okabe paced the defense with nine tackles, four TFL and two sacks, while middle linebacker Austin Novak and cornerback Kelvin Davis added seven tackles each.

Mitakihara improve to 11-0 and conclude the regular season next week on Magia Day 2064 against the Florida Gators.
