Offensive sexfest as Madoka rout Alabama, 209-66

In a game peppered with turnovers and big offensive plays on both sides, Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi rumbled past the Alabama Crimson Tide, 209-66, at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Quarterback Haruki Takayama passed for 349 yards and six touchdowns despite throwing two interceptions. Takayama also ran for 212 yards and three more scores.

Halfback Jansen Onjouji ran for 183 yards and three touchdowns, halfback Ryan Johnson ran for 106 yards and a major, backup quarterback Brad Parkan ran for 93 yards and a score and halfback Bruno Okuno ran for 92 yards and three touchdowns despite a dropped pass. Wide receiver George Griffin caught three passes for 174 yards and three touchdowns, wideout Anthony Rucker caught four passes for 102 yards and two scores and wideout Shane Balogun caught three passes for 158 yards and three more majors.

Balogun also led the blockers with 29 pancakes while Griffin added 12. Free safety Roy Egwuekwe led the defense in tackling with eight tackles and an interception. Left end Ken Atago had three sacks and cornerback Lea Eino had three interceptions, including one returned 99 yards for a touchdown.

Mitakihara improve to 3-0 and return to action next week on the road against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
