The old man of college football, Mitakihara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname, updated the record books with another successful 13-0 season. The first to reach 700 wins as a college football head coach, Coach Kaname owns the records for longest win streak, national titles, bowl victories, career victories, bowl appearances, games coaches and years at a school.

"We had a great year, powered by a lot of our young talent and great senior leadership," Coach Kaname said at his home in Mitakihara Town, B.C. following the team's return to Canada. "Our young players are learning from the upperclassmen on the ways of this school and its heritage and our graduating seniors have succeeded in passing the torch to the next group of players that are ready to lead the program.

"It's a testament to the coaching staff, the faculty and administration, the parents, the fans, the students and alumni of our Mitakihara Family and all the hours of hard work they put in to make this program the Best College Football Team in All of College Football. To the Family, I salute you. We did this together."
