Mitakihara overpower Nebraska, 162-17

Quarterback Terry Miyanaga passed for 408 yards and eight touchdowns and backup Russ Opare passed for 128 yards and two more majors as Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi steamrolled past the Nebraska Cornhuskers, 162-17, at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb. A steady balance of pass and run paced the Magi to anmother impressive victory, their largest of the season.

Halfback Jonathan White Cross ran for 280 yards and three touchdowns, Opare ran for 44 yards and two more majors, halfback James Boye ran for 62 yards and a score, and fullback Joe Sato ran for 47 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver George Griffin caught six passes for 129 yards and three majors, wide receiver Steve Takakamo caught four passes for 265 yards and four scores and halfback Clay Robinson caiught three passes for 65 yards and two touchdowns.

Wide receiver Anthony Rucker, who also caught a pass for six, led the team in blocking with 14 pancakes while Griffin added 11. On defense, defensive tackle Kent Nanase and right end Harry Atago each had four sacks. Right outside linebacker Trevor Uzoenyi had three safeties, left outside linebacker Jamaal Taha had three sacks and cornerback Marlon Boakye had two interceptions.

Mitakihara improve to 5-0 and return home to host the Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors in Homecoming 2068.
