Mitakihara Magi senior quarterback Terry Miyanaga only passed for 226 yards and an interception, but he also ran for 494 yards and eight touchdowns as Tatsuya Kaname's Magi blew apart the Colorado Buffaloes on the ground, 122-24, at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo. Halfback Joe Sato ran for 198 yards and four touchdowns and halfback Jansen Onjouji ran for 264 yards and three more scores.

Onjouji also led the receivers with 10 catches for 102 yards, while Sato caught the only receiving touchdown of the day for Madoka. It was a quiet day for the receiving corps, outside of being key blockers. Wide receiver Will Atsu led the blockers with 30 pancakes while wideout George Griffin added 11 pancakes.

Middle linebacker Danny Miyanaga led the defense with 18 tackles and cornerback Henry Waris had nine tackles and two interceptions. Left outside linebacker Joey Agyemang Badu, left end Lex Hasegawa, left end Ken Atago and defensive tackle Dev Acura had two sacks each.

"What makes Terry so good as a quarterback is his athleticism and his years of experience and leadership under center is a true testament to that," Coach Kaname said after the game. "Today, he showed everyone why he is one of the premier quarterbacks in all of college football. He had a solid game today."

Mitakihara improve to 1-0 and continue their road trip next week against the Oklahoma Sooners.
