Mitakihara smoke Brigham Young, 132-13

Tatsuya Kaname's Mitakihara Magi won their fourth straight Game of the Week, a 132-13 walloping of the Brigham Young Cougars at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo, Utah. Quarterback Terry Miyanaga passed for 200 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 371 yards and four more scores to lead the Magi. Halfback Jansen Onjouji continued to make his case for his second Heisman Trophy, rushing for 301 yards and six touchdowns.

Halfback Joe Sato ran for 84 yards and two touchdowns, fullback Drew Childs rushed for 95 yards and score, wide receiver Will Atsu caught three passes for 57 yards and two touchdowns, wideout Steve Takakamo caught five passes for 73 yards and tight end Flyn Sota caught a pass for a touchdown. Atsu also led the blockers with 14 pancakes, while Sato added eight.

The Miyanaga brothers were on showcase on defense. Middle linebacker Danny Miyanaga had 14 tackles, while his brother, right outside linebacker Sonny Miyanaga, added nine tackles and four sacks. Cornerback James Boye, a converted halfback, had a couple of interceptions, including one returned 53 yards for a touchdown. Three other players on defense had two sacks each.

Mitakihara improve to 4-0 and continue their road trip next week against the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
