Mitakihhara Magi head football coach Tatsuya Kaname will be shuffling his lineup a bit this offseason. Magi offensive coordinator Haruyuki Arita was named the head coach at Virginia Tech. Replacing Arita as offensive coordinator is former offensive line coach Andrew Coley Farina, who will be replaced at his old position by former sprint football offensive line coach Brian Dobbin, who will in turn be replaced at his position by recent graduate Bryson Soriola.

Former Magi cornerback Henry Waris will be the graduate assistant for the football team, while former Magi quarterback B.J. Inkoom will be the graduate assistant for the spring football team. Defensive coordinator Harutora Tsuchimikado has also left Mitakihara and will be coaching at Pittsburgh.

Former linebackers coach Jeff Nakazawa will be taking over as defensive coordinator, while former spring football defensive coordinator Thomas Pittman takes over as linebackers coach. Keith Onazi will be the defensive coordinator for the sprint football team, while former Magi left outside linebacker Joey Agyemang Badu takes over as sprint football linebackers coach.

"It's never good to lose players like this," said Coach Kaname to the Daily Magi following the press conference regarding the moves, "but life goes on and you have to roll with the punches and deal with your personnel moving on to greener pastures. The good thing out of this is that we were able to keep [wide receiver] Chris Babatunde here next season, and [kicker] Quincy [Adiyiah] and [punter] Chris Dauda and [left guard] Charles [Sumaila] will be coming back to wrap up their careers, so we're glad the four of them will be returning in 2072."
